Player's Review

I am a fan of Tim Schafer and his games but truth be told I am a little disappointed in this game. The characters, story, environments, and adventure elements are wonderful and are definitely good stuff. Brutal Legend is a odd mixture of open-world exploration plus hack-and-slash battles coupled with Real Time Strategy elements. The downside is that the controls and feel of the game are sometimes clunky.

    This was painful to watch. The game itself is entertaining and oozing with character, but you completely ruined the potential of this longplay by skipping over most sidequests and, most importantly, by playing through the game while using almost nothing but the same basic combo over and over, and over again.

    Reinc, although i agree some longplays have their fllaws, you can't expect people to record just about every secret there is in the game. Modern games are way too much different from the one I know and play, and most of them have well defined sidequests, lots of sidequests, and for an (a)lternative longplay or a longplay on another system (if applicable), it would be fine to feature all of them. But not to expect just about every extra stuff, easter eggs and such...

    Maybe making a list of which longplays could be redone in the future would be good.
