      quality isn't completely terrible for a 2D game, but the image is stretched a bit when I compare it to real hardware as shown in the screenshots

    Janky scaling is clearly visible in top image with the dots being all different shapes. That's not to say that hardware isn't without it's issues, the left / right power pills are scaled differently. I guess the top image went through some forced aspect correction.
