Player's Review

"At last the long awaited sequel to Attack of the Mutant Camels is available. You are controlling a ninety foot high, neutronium shielded, lazer spitting death camel; leading a rebellion against your evil Zzyaxian overlords. The game features beautiful smooth scrolling graphics and no less than 42 different attack waves, more than any game in video history. The challenge of play will last for months as you battle to see what's on the next wave."

After the well received original game a sequel was inevitable nut instead of more of the same, revenge steps it up so now you get to play as the camel destroying everything in your path on your quest for freedom for all camel kind. I'm playing an updated/fixed version of the game from the original developer released in 2021. I believe it makes a change to the collision detection of the camel so while it makes the game a bit easier, it has some side effects that can be seen on some levels in the video. Some enemies glitch so while the enemy is dead, it isn't destroyed and can be shot forever more for huge point boosts.

The controls are simple enough. left/right moves your camel and up to jump. You can then hold fire to shoot in the direction you want to move which can be annoying when you want to doge something in front of you but need to shoot something behind you. Each attack wave is different. Some will come at you from every which way draining your shield and some will be more straight forward allowing you to better aim and come out of the level with more shield intact which will get boosted for the next level.

The longplay starts out with the title screen and I allow it to show the entire scrolling text message before moving on. Then its a playthrough of all 42 attack waves on the easy difficulty (Seven KM distance per wave) to eventually reach the ending. The game then loops onto the next difficulty, fourteen KM distance. Instead of about one minute per level, it is now two. I use up any remaining lives here to end the game, you've been tortured enough!
