Player's Review
Enter one of the last remaining star fighters and battle the insidious alien Inviyya, Lead humanity's last attempt in six breath- taking levels, experiencing breathtaking vistas in derelict space stations, beautiful crystal grottos, gruesome lava caves and alien tunnels. All for the final confrontation with the mighty overlord who's invading your home planet.
A fairly basic shootemup game not to dissimilar to R-Type. Nice and colourful with parallax scrolling and designed to work on a standard 1mb A500. Fight your way through each stage killing waves of enemies, collecting power ups and slay the end of level boss. The levels are all quite short and start of fairly easy but soon ramps up as the levels progress. Death means its back to the start of the level. Collision detection can be very suspect at time making you think you can fly through the terrain and you weapons can of arc backwards so things behind you explode.
Overall, not a bad little shootemup with some nice music loops in the background at the same time as sfx! Presentation is minimal with a quick title screen and then right into the game. Just a little bit of text between levels keeps
up the pace but the ending seems a bit minimal.
