Sonic II is one of the best platform games ever made. When i bought a Snes 1992 i thought, Megadrive is crap compared to Snes. SNES have better graphics, sound and hardware support. Megadrive isn't much better then Atari ST or Amiga.
I read lots of reviews on Megadrive (genesis) games in the magazines and when i read a Sonic II review in a swedish gaming mag i said to myself.........
How can they give this game the same score as Streetfighter II for Snes?
It's on Megadrive, right?
320 x 224 and 64 "on screen" colours of a palette of just 512 colours. Ha, they must be paid by Sega.
And when i got an amiga CD-32 and played the game "Oscar" for the first time, i thougt. In your face sonic, this is how it should look.
Then i played Sonic II on a Megadrive........
I bought a Megadrive the next day and since then i have been a huge Sonic freak. :D
