How about a mecha robots jrpg for a change? Well this is actually a shooter with some little rpg elements, mostly in the domain of talking to people and buying/selling weapons and other stuff. For certaing things to happen you have to go in one level, blow up stuff and when you come back the story goes on... Then you have to return to those levels and do the same so you can continue further, which is kind of a drag. The most effective weapon in this game are the glowing swords (there are four different swords, depending on their streinght) which is mostly used. Even tho near the end of the game you get the gun that shoots purple ray beams, which is the strongest weapon in the game, it is only effective in certain levels, in others it can't kill anything so that's why you should relie on the sword, and make sure you buy the newest one when it's time, because if you don't the old ones do little damage. Overall, this is a great game, completely in Japanese, but you don't have to know it to beat the game.
And no, this is not the sequel to Aurail, it was apparently a joke made by the programmers while writing the ending credits.
