Player's Review

I redid my Tenchu longplay as I wasn't happy with the video quality of my last one because it was one of my first games I had recorded on XBOX. Also I love Tenchu. I go through the story once more, first as Rikimaru, Ayame and then Tesshu. Coming from Tenchu 2, the levels and story are quite garbage. My main issues with the game include:

Stages: The levels are repeated with each character just with a different reason for that character to be there. In Tenchu 2 at least when the level was repeated the enemies or time of day changed.

Story: The story elements are incredibly weak and again bring back characters that are best staying dead.

Items: I'd say there are too many ninja items to select for in this game (which isn't the worst negative) but some are far too over powered and it is hard to not select from them. You have the disguise which is removed after a stealth kill, but then you have the active camouflage which doesn't. It feels youre putting yourself at a disadvantage not picking this, but thats just my self control.

Blur:The worst thing that annoyed me through playing this game was the muddy graphics and the blur filter. There is so much blur throughout and no reason for it. The odd blue during stealth kills would have been fine but not like this. Trying to work out where to go in first person is a pain because you need to look for a second for the blur to disappear.

The only postive on this game to Tenchu 2 is the controls, and the music wasn't all awful. Oh, and I did like the extra abilities you get in each level.

I start the video with rikimaru. It took me a while to adjust to the controls and I didn't really go through the levels that well or quick. Once i got through some I realised it's very easy to storm through them with a little trial and error + restarting.
