I wanted to go back and replay the original burnout. I play through the championship, before moving on to some of the 1v1 races where you can unlock new vehicles.
While fun for a race or two it becomes apparent that there are very few tracks to select from. Worse of all was the rubberband AI. Your position on the track pretty much comes down to how well you race on the final lap. You can screw up quite a bit beforehand and still catch up, while if you race perfectly you can never lose the pack. The boost bar is also a huge annoyance, you can only activate it once you have filled it, it speeds you up increases chances of a crash yet will not actually increase your lead by much at all, at least in the long term, due to the AI.
