Player's Review

"The once simple and good-natured Jobe, now a psychotic virtual Cybergod, still rooms free within confines of the VSI mainframe computer. As Dr. Lawrence Angelo, your mission is to fight your way through the military defence network to locate and destroy the Omega Chip. This chip lies at the very heart of Cyberjobe's Virtual City and gives him direct control over the Information Super-Highway Without it, his plans for world domination through the power of information technology will be halted - for now!
Select and explore your own perilous path through levels spanning three massive game cds. The 1800 Megabytes of game contains ten styles of gameplay, scores of adversaries, and a challenge which will test your gaming skills to the full. To survive you must drive your physical and mental stamina to its limits. Cyberwar has been declared are you worthy of this venture?"

Cyberwar is the Sequel to last years highly acclaimed 'Lawnmower Man' game produced the previous year based on the movie of the same name. Riding on the success of the Lawnmower Man game, the sequel was rushed out negating any kind of story instead opting for a series of mini games.

The game is split over three CDs and before it ends it will save your progress so you can continue from whichever cd you made it to at a particular difficulty level. It's a strange setup. You do also get two additional saves per disc useful after passing a difficult stage and not wanting to have to redo it. The game can be long or short depending on the game choices taken. Some games are quick like the security door and some are longer like the vehicle levels. The bee maze can be really quick, teleport to the end but I took a more scenic route to show more fmv clips.

The longplay shows a complete run through of the game followed by a few death scenes before the final game over. There is perhaps more fmv video for moving between the game rooms than the actual mini games the selves. I may skip the odd one if its been shown before. Like the previous game there is not much to it. Just press the relevant direction at the correct time. This time you can setup a joystick which helps. Most of the puzzles are self explanatory but the floor puzzle was more luck based as I never understood what the actual puzzle was. The floor tiles rotate and you have to wait for a safe one to appear working your way to the end. Circles are fine, green is fine, everything else death? I dunno.
