Suikoden II

This is longplay of Suikoden 2 game, an RPG game released for the PSX in 1998.

The game takes place three years after the war in the Empire Scarlet Moon, which is now known as Gate Runes War.

However, takes place in a nation north of the first game, divided into two parts: The City-States of Jowston and the Kingdom of Highland. Both live in a state of "ceasefire", but with heavy surveillance in relation to each other.

The game focuses on Riou, his older sister Nanami and her best friend Jowy. Riou and Nanami were adopted by a Highland hero known as Genkkaku when they were very young, and Jowy is the son of a noble family, also Highlanders.

When Genkkaku dies, Riou and Jowy decide to enlist in the junior brigade known as Highland Brigade of Unicorn. The day before graduation, while the brigade was on watch training on a border crossing of the City-states, the unit was attacked, presumably by troops of the City-states. Their commander asks for them flee to the forest, however, Riou and Jowy find the situation somewhat strange, and decide to go back and question their commander.

From the moment the Riou and Jowy separate, the plot begins to integrate with the first game of the Suikoden series, and several other characters appear, including some of the first Suikoden like Viktor and Flik.

As in the previous game, the objective is to go through the plot and at the same time managing a large castle that grows as the characters will be joining, each major character in the game is called Stars of Destiny.

Suikoden 2 also addresses the plot from the perspective of friendship and gives a question like "how a friendship can survive the adversities that life imposes?", "will one day be with you again?". Simply fascinating.

The graphics have improved a lot, the music evolved and the movements of the characters are much more detailed. The war battles have a tactics style like Fire Emblem (don't die in this battles or you will lose one of your stars of destiny).

The entire video was recorded with the memory card of last save point of Suikoden 1 and this adds new extras. The video includes:

* All 108 Stars of Destiny and more characters like five squirrels
* McDohl's Quest (for play with a hero of first Suikoden, included in both videos)
* All history in first video, Ridley alive in both videos.

This longplay was also recorded two videos: one is full playthrough and the other is another extra game called Cooking Contest. In a part of the game the player must decide whether to choose Valeria or Kasumi (sad to have two choices and can only decide between, are just two characters from this series that I love).

- For the playthrough I choose Valeria because it has more efficiency in war battles.

- The second video is made of minigames and the Cooking Contest and for that I used another memory card with Kasumi and all the Stars of Destiny to show this culinary event and each cook-off you should expect stopped about 45 minutes between one and another cooking battle, then this second video made small cuts to make it more watchable. The cooking contest is a important history about the chef Hai Yo! The Stars of Destiny are the judges in this battle, then have to make good recipes for everyone.

Is one the best JRPGs of all times to me, a wonderful and epic game highly recommendable. Love this game! Was hard record this game with memory card but i hope to you enjoy this video of this masterpiece.
