Some shmup by Namco I guess.
Shmup. NO PLOT!
The game's power-up system confused me at first. I then figured it out. Red power-ups increase your firepower. Blue power-ups give you secondary weapons. First, it starts from a shield and then goes to being pods-on-left-and-right and then Multiples ala Gradius and then rotating pods. Multiple!Pod come out on lower firepower level. Pods degrade when they "take" damage (or use a bomb-type attack). The ship has a charge up Phoenix attack. It takes FOREVER to charge it. The game gets harder when you do good (don't blow up and collect power-ups I think).
I just go through the game while going all the way to the top.
No skills are involved.
