Player's Review

RPG by Game Arts. Regarded as a not-fun RPG and a bunk Lunar game.

Follow a courier as he delivers the thingies and ends up having to stop some bad tribe folks or something. Somewhere, there's some goddess plot thing iunno.

Gameplay is the usual RPG things: we have turn-based, encounters on field, EXP, all that. There's a few quirks: there are 2 modes for battling: Combat Mode and Virtue Mode. Combat lets you obtain items for courier quests and cards (which are busted) but no EXP. Virtue gives you EXP but no items. Virtue also removes monsters from the field and you are put on a timer to get rid of another monster or it revives. Full sweeping a room restores HP and MP and allows you to open a Blue Chest if it is in the room. Let's talk BAD!: running on the field drains HP. ANYONE with less than one-third of HP stops running. You can't target enemies with attacks and there are also enemies on top screen that can only be hit by certain things (mainly specials). You run away from battles by blowing into the mic. Pray your mic isn't unresponsive! You have a card for running away, though. Battles are pretty slow but you do have L and R to speed up animations. Some enemies can break equipment and you can't repair it! It's quite a mess. Shame since I kinda like this game's music.

This longplay kicks and SPINS! a LOT of battles and spams menu while getting every card!ASTERISK! and every blue chest...I think?...even if the item in it is kinda useless...while holding the R button all day. There is a bit of a money grind to get equipment (Althena Church is a pretty bad segment. Cards trivialize the boss fights, though) and there's DEFINITELY a grind for card drops. If i wasn't trying so hard, the playthrough wouldn't be so long and I KNOW this game isn't long. Did I mention there's a LOT of fighting because the Blue Chests say so? Smile
asterisk=there's 2 cards you can't get but they exist in the game
