I use Fraps to record my games. Before that, I used XSplit Gamecaster. The switch between the two programs made one HELL of a difference. My Mega Man 2 walkthough was low quality.

Its overall a better program if you want to record PC games, but some games will spaz with it, thats where fraps comes in.

No, I have plenty memory, It's because fraps can sometimes use up a lot of resources and isnt as customizable as DXtory. Better FPS, True lossless and options for encoding-

Is it because of the memory it takes up?

Seems like only fraps works with Chaos Theory, Dxtory makes it crash. Good thing I have fraps as an alternative (although I really dislike using it).
