I only wish Fraps didn't take up so much memory. It's like 1GB a minute. That's f**ked up.

dxtory is good if you record to a separate hdd, and it is fast enough

Either record in yv12 or YUY2(Bigger, better quality) Multithread etc whatever.

And is more customizeable than fraps. Tbh I wouldnt recommend fraps, I'd just grab DXtory and use Lags for a good recording, and PCM if you're an audio nut.

You can also try Bandicam as well, those are both very good programs, I like Dxtory better though, but Bandicam is hassle-free. Bandicam is slightly less customizable than DXtory.

When I tried dxtory, the video was jurky... >.< Didn't have any problems with fraps until now !

i like dxtory way better than fraps, on my new computer fraps went down to 2 fps sometimes for no reason, at least with dxtory i can use lagarith
