A high end cpu goes a long way to reliable 1080p recording As well as a suitable capture device for console recording.

Did you get some new equipment we don't know about? 1080p@60 is not a the easiest to capture without dropping frames. I seem to recall , slow bizhawk and trouble with 640x480 sonic cd pc capture

I should be able to do 1080p 60fps on it, but I was wondering if I can do 720p 60fps instead. Easier to manage.

@Brian, since you cant record 60 fps @1080p that would be a no 720 @60 is more manageable but you best be sure you are not constantly dropping frames before you commit to it.

In the case that a game could be 1080p 60fps, would it be acceptable if I did it in 720p 60fps instead? Or does it have to be 1080p?
