those files might be too big for people to download and process them without issue off the ftp

Hello. My longplays still pending. It's been almost a year It can wait longer but just in case you missed it.

18 crf is definitely the sweetest spot for 2D games to retain quality after compression.
KAGE-0085 years ago
Because of the higher crf value used on them (28 if I am not mistaken), plus that those were made back in the Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 days.

@KAGE-008, one thing I noticed from the older videos' quality: the quality is fine when the screen isn't moving, but when it's scrolling there are ugly artifacts around the sprites.

@KAGE_008 I meant reUPload the picture for Mighty No. 9. My bad.
KAGE-0085 years ago
Noting that. I'm also planning on replacing the Dracula X vid on SNES, not only it's blurry, but only one route is shown as well.

@KAGE-008, if you're looking for another NES classic that need a new record, there's Journey to Siius. Current one is very blurry.

@KAGE-008, I've downloaded them and they're top notch. That's a great addition to the NES longplay collection Amazing work!
KAGE-0085 years ago
It's on the archive.org link in your submission so yeah, you can download it.

I guess Mighty No. 9 Xbox One's picture got messed up. Do you want me to redownload it?
KAGE-0085 years ago
@Gamezopher -- I've just replaced the entire Megaman series, on NES platform.

I will eventually do it, but I do want to record from PS2, Switch, and 3DS, it might be a few years.
KAGE-0085 years ago
That's only if you plan on recording from console, which is the case with much modern platforms.
Jkins225 years ago
@Spazbo4 Yeah that's true, but I would need a capture card, and recording equipment, and I'm a little short on money.

@Jkins22: if you have a PC then you already have proper equipment to do longplays for a lot of systems with bizhawk
