Plus that splitting up the vid makes it easier for us to process stuff, meaning we take part of the complete longplay and upload it first before continuing with the rest.

youtube also has filesize limits too, and has trouble processing files that are longer than 12 hours, so if a video is longer than 12 hours you should split it up

Hello. My longplays still pending. It's been almost a year It can wait longer but just in case you missed it.

18 crf is definitely the sweetest spot for 2D games to retain quality after compression.

Because of the higher crf value used on them (28 if I am not mistaken), plus that those were made back in the Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 days.

@KAGE-008, one thing I noticed from the older videos' quality: the quality is fine when the screen isn't moving, but when it's scrolling there are ugly artifacts around the sprites.

Noting that. I'm also planning on replacing the Dracula X vid on SNES, not only it's blurry, but only one route is shown as well.

@KAGE-008, if you're looking for another NES classic that need a new record, there's Journey to Siius. Current one is very blurry.

I will eventually do it, but I do want to record from PS2, Switch, and 3DS, it might be a few years.

That's only if you plan on recording from console, which is the case with much modern platforms.
