every file uploaded to the FTP needs an SFV file, it is used to check to make sure the file hasn't been corrupted during the upload

Does arcade need sfv file and is there every video game needs SFV file?

@Kage Is there anything else besides needing .SFV file?

@Mariofan — Digger probably can do that if you don't mind. I just hope it to be as complete as possible.

@WWECLMAN — Forgot to say you need a .sfv file along with your video, to check it isn't corrupted. That file is generated with QuickSFV or FileBot.

I can say 1 hour of raw footage for 4k60 off a console is 70GB
KAGE-008

Which is obvious since high resolution means high file size, especially if it's graphically complex.

So I'm guessing that when recording PS5 games in 4K at 60FPS for several hours the file size might be over 100GB.

Read this
pinned topic
first before encoding anything. Check the Video Resolution section in that thread.

Let me guess in a different topic, 640, 480. Right?

Also that only .mkv or .mp4 files are accepted according to the encoding guidelines.

Remember these three words: BizHawk, MeGUI and AviSynth. We only accept videos that were recorded and encoded with the aforementioned tools.

@Spazbo4 I need to explain it, I used Kega Fusion and VSDC VideoEditor the video program. Just show me how to do it.

@Digger — I'll update the old entries instead of replacing them with new ones, if you see your resubmission is 'gone' that's why.

quality looks fine to me but resolution is too big, for games on sega genesis you only need to double the original resolution
