it doesnt matter which avermedia since they all use recentral to record with, but when i was doing ps2 games off my actual ps2 i had an elgato hd60

I used to, but it never cooperated when I tried recording my original PS2, but a friend just told me that recording with OBS could result in 480i footage that doesn't look bad

when recording 60fps ps2 games is when it loooked horrible, 30fps games looked fine

whenever i tried to record ps2 games in 480i, which the retrotink can only do, my recording software always screwed up the footage by deinterlacing it instead of just recording it as 480i

@Mariofan98 That's what the Retrotink technically is: a component to HDMI adapter that I can use to connect to my HDMI-only Elgato.

@diggerandindy but if recording ps2 through a retrotink doesn't look acceptable then we cant take it

For Wii you can with HD60 still use an Wii U with an resolution of 480p.

Yup, PCSX2's AVI output is tricky because the video ill be interlaced. The alternative is an component cable with adapter for HD30.

@Spazbo4 The only reason I'm using this setup is because I think the current emulator's too tricky. Some systems don't have good emulators at all!

@diggerandindy do we even accept longplays with that setup?

@digger how can you record PS2, did you use the emulator? i already tried it to deinterlace the avi without using Virtualdub(mod) and it failed

Well I think that captcha could do at least for initial signups.

We did have google captcha which used to help. But a negative side effect is that it seemed to stop legit signups as well.

I also reckon that registering for this forum should require approval from a moderator or admin.
