I downloaded a patch that makes psxfin run smoother and faster, but I still need Fraps to record. Can I record a test video for you guys to examine?

Yeah, if English version of a game exist, that one should be recorded first.

I'd rather see the English version out first so that people can actually read whats going on.

@Ironclaw... if you use a emulator with AVI Output is ok, with rerecording or no. I know is not allowed recording with emulator with external software... the rerecording can help our friend Brian

PSXFin is a awful emulator... longplays from emulator are only accepted with rerecording emulator avi output... fraps is only for pc games in realtime

recording using fraps for emulators is not accepted, and neither is psxfin

I'm doing Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. I'm also using psxfin to emulate the game and Fraps is set to 30 fps. Is that good?

And that encode don't depends much hardware as it is tool assisted (you can use fast forward but you video came in normal speed). If the game run on the emulator U can play and record your input

what else would recording mean? and as for ps1 games, the framerate needs to be whatever the game's framerate plays as, not every game is the same because some play at 30 and others 60

@Brian0451 Use PSXJin or Bizhawk to record PSX games... the encode is more easy and you only need to do it when you finish the game!

Also, is 30 fps accepted for ps1 games?
